RBA are delighted to announce the appointment of Bill Guo as Associate Director – South. Bill will lead our London office as we continue to support key clients in the delivery of CP6 projects, with a focus on growing the our capabilities in the region as we approach CP7.
Since graduating from Imperial College London with an MEng degree in Civil Engineering, Bill has focused his career on the railway industry, starting with Network Rail’s acclaimed Graduate Scheme where he developed a wide range of experience working with different functions within the organisation, such as Route Asset Management, Capital Delivery and Asset Protection and Optimisation. In 2019 he worked as the Project Engineer – Civil in the Southern Capital Delivery team and soon become the lead Designated Project Engineer overseeing the delivery of Structure, Buildings & Civil, Geotechnical and Enhancement portfolios.
After gaining chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineering, Bill joined Jacobs Engineering as an Assistant Engineering Manager, and worked on HS2 Washwood Heath Depot Concept/Scheme design package, latterly being promoted to the Engineering Lead; and subsequently led the delivery of the multidisciplinary design package through its IDC, VE and IDR stages. The scheme was successfully delivered by end of 2022, with Bill nominated for, and winning, YRP award of the year by Jacobs.
Outside of work Bill is a father of two young daughters, one 2 year old one 3 month old, and lives in Guildford, Surrey.
